Oatmeal-Caramel Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
    1/3 c. milk
    2 c. flour
    2 c. regular oats
    1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 c. soft margarine
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1 c. walnuts, chopped
Preparation
    Combine caramels and milk in a saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until caramels melt.
    Set mixture aside.
