Ingredients

8 to 10 fresh beets
1 c. water
1/2 c. apple cider vinegar
3/4 to 1 c. sugar
6 to 8 cloves
Preparation

Cook beets until tender (after cutting off greens and stems), then slide off skin and rest of stem.
Slice beets.
Cook water, vinegar, sugar and cloves about 5 minutes.
Then add sliced beets and simmer about ??? minutes.
Cool.
