Coffee Can Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. boiling water
    1/2 stick margarine
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 box raisins
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 (10 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, drained and halved
    1 c. chopped English walnuts
    4 c. regular flour
Preparation
    Mix together boiling water, margarine, baking soda and raisins. Let stand 3 hours.
    Then add remaining ingredients.
    Mix well and divide evenly in three 1 pound coffee cans which have been sprayed with Pam or well-greased.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
