Mom'S Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    2 c. sugar
    2 or 3 c. water
    1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. milk
    2 c. finely chopped or grated apples
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Heat
    oven
    to\t350\u00b0.
    Melt
    butter
    in 13 x 9 x 2-inch dish. In\tsaucepan
    heat\tsugar
    and water until sugar melts. Cut shortening into flour until it resembles fine crumbs.
    Add milk and stir only until dough leaves side of bowl.
    Turn out on floured
    surface.
    Knead
    until smooth.
    Roll out to large rectangle,\t1/4-inch
    thick.
    Sprinkle
    cinnamon
    over
    dough. Sprinkle
    apples over dough.
    Roll up like jelly roll.
    Dampen edge
    of dough with a little water and seal.
    Slice dough into 16 slices, 1/2-inch thick.
    Place in dish with melted butter. Pour sugar syrup around rolls.
    It looks like too much water, but dough will absorb syrup.\tBake 55 to 60 minutes.
