Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. self-rising cornmeal
    1 c. buttermilk (with 1 tsp. dissolved soda)
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. oil
    1 can cream-style corn
    1 onion, chopped
    2 or 3 jalapeno peppers, chopped
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients, except 1/2 cup cheese.,
    Pour into a hot greased pan.
    Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
    Cook at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
