Apple And Pecan Filled Acorn Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium acorn squash (about 1 1/2 lb. each)
    1 c. peeled, chopped Granny Smith apples
    1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/4 c. melted butter
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    1/4 c. chopped, toasted pecans
Preparation
    Cut squash in half crosswise and remove seeds.
    Cut bottom of each squash half to sit flat, if necessary.
    Place squash halves, cut side up in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
    Add hot water to dish of 1-inch deep.
    Combine apples and next 3 ingredients; spoon evenly into squash halves.
    Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until squash is tender.
    Sprinkle with pecans.
