Ingredients

1 c. vegetable shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. Rice Krispies (or other cereal may be substituted)
2 c. quick oats
1 c. coconut
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugars together, add eggs and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients, then cereals, coconut and nuts.
Drop by spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet, and bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes 5 dozen.
