Cobbler - cooking recipe
Ingredients

fruit
1/3 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. water
1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. shortening
3/8 c. milk
Preparation

Place either fresh or canned fruit in the bottom of a baking dish.
Add the sugar and water.
(Syrup from the canned fruit may be substituted for the water if desired).
Mix and sift dry ingredients.
Cut in the shortening and add the milk.
Mix lightly and spread dough over the fruit in a buttered baking dish.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
