Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. sliced squash
    2 c. sliced onion
    2 medium, chopped bell peppers
    2 small jars pimento
    3 c. sugar
    2 c. vinegar
    2 tsp. mustard seed
    2 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Mix vegetables and pour 1/4 cup of salt over them; let sit for 2 hours.
    Drain and set aside.
    Bring the sugar, vinegar and seeds to a boil.
    Add vegetables and boil 5 minutes.
    Put in jars and seal.
