Baked Oysters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. selected oysters
    1 1/8 c. dried bread crumbs
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1/3 c. butter
    1 egg, beaten and diluted with 1 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Finger each oyster so as to find and
    remove any bits of shell.
    Wash oysters but do not let stand in water.
    Drain.
    Mix salt and pepper with bread crumbs.
    Melt butter, but do not brown. Add seasoned crumbs to butter.
    Dip each oyster into crumb mixture and then into diluted egg and again into crumb mixture.
