Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    18 to 20 Tbsp. shortening, melted
    3 eggs
    1 orange rind, grated or lemon
    1 tsp. orange extract or lemon
    3/4 c. milk
    self-rising flour
Preparation
    Cream melted shortening with sugar.
    Blend in eggs, orange rind, extract and milk.
    Mix well, then add self-rising flour until hard and firm.
    Continue to knead in dry flour until real firm, then roll out.
    Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet.
