Pot Roast With Cranberries - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (3 lb.) pot roast
flour
2 Tbsp. fat or oil
3 c. boiling water
2 c. raw cranberries
1/2 c. diced onions
1/2 c. diced celery
1 large bay leaf
6 sprigs parsley
2 whole cloves
6 peppercorns
1 1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Sprinkle meat with a little flour.
Brown on all sides in the fat.
Add water, cranberries (picked over then washed) and all other ingredients except the salt.
Cover and bring to boiling point, then simmer very gently until the meat is tender.
When 1/2 done, turn meat over and add salt.
Total cooking time: approximately 2 1/2 hours.
If necessary, thicken gravy with additional flour.
