Pickled Yellow Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. sliced yellow squash
    2 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped green pepper
    1 Tbsp. canning salt
    2 c. cider vinegar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    3 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Combine squash, onions, pepper and salt.
    Let stand for 1 hour, then drain.
    Combine vinegar, celery seed, sugar and mustard seed, the bring to a boil.
    Put squash mixture in clean hot jars and pour liquid over mixture.
    Seal jars.
