Maple Nut Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    3 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. maple extract
    1/3 c. maple syrup
    1 c. flour
    1 c. whole wheat flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. milk
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream butter and brown sugar.
    Add egg, extract and syrup; beat well.
    Mix dry ingredients in separate bowl.
    Add mixture to egg mixture; fold in nuts (save 1/4 cup for topping).
    Spoon into well-buttered muffin tin.
