Date Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. soda
1 c. cut up dates
1 Tbsp. butter
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. molasses
1 c. nut meats (hickory nuts)
2 eggs, well beaten

Preparation

Pour water and soda over chopped dates. Add sugar, flour, butter and nut meats to date mixture. Mix well. Add eggs. Mix well.
