Norwegian Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. (2 to 3) tart apples
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in a large bowl; stir until blended. (Mixture will be stiff.)
    Spoon into generously buttered 9-inch pie pan.
    Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes or until browned and slightly puffed.
    Serve with Cool Whip or whipped cream.
