Stollen German Christmas Bread - cooking recipe

6 c. unsifted all-purpose flour, divided
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. mace
1/8 tsp. cardamom
2 pkg. active dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1 c. milk, scalded
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted, divided
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 c. golden raisins
1/2 c. diced mixed candied fruits
1/2 c. blanched slivered almonds
Preparation
-
Combine 5 cups of flour, cinnamon, mace and cardamom.
Set aside.
Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Set aside.
