Cranberry Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
juice and rind of 1 orange
2 Tbsp. shortening, melted
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
1 c. fresh cranberries, cut in half
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients.
Combine the juice, rind, shortening and enough water to make 3/4 cup of liquid.
Add juice mixture to dry ingredients.
Add egg.
Mix just enough to blend.
Add nuts and cranberries.
Makes 1 large loaf or 2 small loaves.
Grease pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes.
Better when a day or two old.
