Grits Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk
    1/2 c. butter
    1/3 c. butter
    1 c. hominy white grits
    1 c. grated Gruyere cheese
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Bring milk to boil and add 1/2 cup butter, salt, pepper and grits.
    Cook until thick.
    Beat 5 minutes with electric beater. Pour into pan; cool and cut into slices and place in casserole like fallen dominoes.
    Mix 1/3 cup melted butter and both cheeses and pour over top.
    Bake, foil covered, at 400\u00b0 for 45 minutes and uncover last 5 minutes.
    Freezes well.
    Serves 4 to 6.
