Corn Bread Dressing - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 qt. (12 c.) corn bread crumbs
1 c. butter
1 medium onion
3 large stalks celery
poultry seasoning to taste
sage to taste
thyme to taste
salt to taste
1 c. fat skimmed from turkey
4 c. broth
1 c. milk
1 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
4 eggs
Preparation

Heat broth and milk together; don't boil.
Heat fat in large saucepan.
Add flour to make smooth paste.
Add hot broth slowly. Cook over low heat until very thick.
Beat eggs.
Add small amount of hot mixture to eggs.
Beat in and add all to broth.
Cook 3 to 4 more minutes.
(Optional:
add ground giblets.)
Put in buttered dish layered:
1/2 dressing mixture, 1/2 thickened broth, 1/2 dressing and 1/2 broth.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
