Cherry Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter, softened
    1 c. sugar
    1 large egg
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 (17 oz.) can pitted tart cherries, drained
Preparation
    Beat together butter and sugar until fluffy.
    Add egg and beat until light.
