Russian Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. butter
    2 cans beef consomme
    1 c. fine egg noodles, crushed
    1 c. regular rice
Preparation
    Melt butter in saucepan.
    Add noodles and brown.
    Add the consomme and bring to a boil.
    Add rice and boil again.
    Put lid on pan and simmer on low for 45 minutes.
    Do not lift lid.
