Raisin Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. raisins
    2/3 c. water
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cook raisins in water slowly while making batter for cookies. Cream shortening and sugar.
    Beat in eggs, one at a time.
    Mix in dry ingredients.
    Blend well.
    Drain raisins, stir in 1 teaspoon baking soda; stir raisin mixture into batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
