Burnt Sugar Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/3 c. burnt sugar syrup
Preparation
    Brown 1 cup of sugar in skillet and add 1 cup of boiling water.
    Let simmer until all is melted and you have a syrup.
    Let cool.
    Mix all ingredients and bake in two 9-inch layer pans at 370\u00b0 for about 30 minutes.
