Chocolate Pecan Shortbread - cooking recipe

2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. pecan pieces
9 oz. unsalted butter
1/3 c. light brown sugar
7 Tbsp. sugar
6 oz. semisweet or bittersweet chocolate
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Heat oven to 300\u00b0.
Combine flour and salt in food processor, do pecans until fine not powdery.
Add to flour mixture.
Beat butter and sugar.
Reduce to slower speed, beat in flour mixture. Roll into tablespoon ball.
Put onto ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
Flatten about 2 inches around.
Bake 30 minutes. Melt chocolate in 250\u00b0 oven.
Dip half cookie in melted chocolate or pour melted chocolate on cookie.
