Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 medium apples
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
pinch of salt
1 egg
1 stick margarine, softened or melted
1 c. nut meats (optional)

Preparation

Peel and dice apples.
Mix the rest of ingredients together. Pour into an 8-inch square pan and bake for 40 minutes at 350\u00b0. Leave plain or serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
