Banana Split Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
    2 c. graham cracker crumbs
    2 eggs
    2 c. powdered sugar, sifted
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
    3 or 4 bananas, sliced
    1 (9 oz.) container Cool Whip, thawed
    chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine the 1/2 cup melted butter or margarine with cracker crumbs and pat into a 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Beat eggs on high speed for 4 minutes.
    Add sugar and 3/4 cup softened butter or margarine to eggs and beat for 5 minutes.
    Spread this over crumbs.
    Chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
    Spread drained pineapple over creamed mixture.
    Arrange sliced bananas over top of pineapple, cover with Cool Whip.
    Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
    Cover and refrigerate 6 hours or overnight.
    Garnish with maraschino cherries.
    Makes 12 servings.
