Chinese Asparagus - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. asparagus
    1 tsp. oil
    salt to taste
    slivered almonds
Preparation
    Cut asparagus diagonally in 1/4 to 1/2-inch slices.
    Heat oil in heavy skillet.
    Add asparagus and sprinkle with salt. Cover pan and cook 3 minutes, or until fork-tender.
    Serve topped with slivered almonds (optional).
