Carrot Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. Wesson oil
3 egg yolks, unbeaten
2 1/2 Tbsp. hot water
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. fine grated carrots
1 c. nuts (black walnuts)
3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation

Sift flour and add dry ingredients.
Mix dry ingredients alternately with sugar, oil, egg yolks and hot water.
Mix the grated carrots, then the nuts to batter, then fold in the egg white.
Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 350\u00b0 for 55 minutes.
Cool in pan 10 minutes.
