German Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. cabbage, shredded
    1 large onion, sliced thin
    1 bell pepper, sliced
    1 small jar pimientos, mix and set aside
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 c. vinegar
    1 c. salad oil
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Bring to a boil the celery seed, vinegar, salad oil, sugar and salt and pour over the cabbage, onion, pepper and pimiento mixture. Let set in a tightly covered container for 12 hours. Stir well and serve.
    Good with fish.
