Scallops With Glazed Garlic And Champagne Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 large garlic cloves, each cut lengthwise in half
    4 Tbsp. butter
    20 large sea scallops
    1/4 c. maple syrup
    1/4 c. apple cider
    1/4 c. dry champagne
    3 Tbsp. chopped shallots
    3 Tbsp. chopped fresh chives
Preparation
    Place garlic in small saucepan of water.
    Bring to a boil. Drain.
    Return garlic to pan. Add fresh water and bring to a boil again. Drain and set aside.
