Grandma Green'S Smothered Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 5 c. potatoes, peeled and sliced
    1 large onion
    2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Mix potatoes, onion and bacon drippings in a heavy iron skillet.
    Add salt and pepper.
    Cover and cook on low heat, stirring often, until potatoes are well done.
    Do not add water.
