Hot Five Bean Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 slices bacon
    2/3 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 lb. can each (2 c. drained): kidney beans, cut green beans, green lima beans and cut wax beans
    dash of pepper
    3/4 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    In large skillet, cook bacon until crisp.
    Drain, reserving 1/4 cup drippings.
    Salt and pepper; blend into drippings.
    Stir in vinegar and water; cook and stir until boiling.
    Stir in all beans.
    Cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
    Turn into serving dish.
    Crumble bacon on top.
    Serves 10 to 12.
