Creamed Dried Beef(Amish) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/4 lb. dried beef, thinly sliced
    4 Tbsp. flour
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1 chuck or shoulder roast (approximately 3 lb.)
    salt and pepper to taste (both sides)
    1 can mushroom soup (do not dilute)
    1 pkg. onion soup mix
Preparation
    Again be forewarned and be sure to cover the roast sufficiently with foil.
    Spread half of the mushroom soup and half of the onion soup mix on each side.
    Wrap securely and place on wire rack or better still put it in a baking dish.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 3 1/2 to 4 hours in a preheated oven.
    Mashed potatoes should go so well with this because you already have an excellent seasoned gravy.
    Serves 4.
