Tarheel Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn meal
    1 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. oil
    1 egg
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Pour about 2 tablespoons oil into a cast-iron skillet.
    Sprinkle in a little corn meal.
    Set on burner at medium heat until corn meal is golden brown.
    Combine all ingredients and mix until blended and pour into prepared pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
