Mrs. Claus' Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can (1 2/3 c.) evaporated milk
    1 c. butter or margarine
    2 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate bits
    1 pt. Marshmallow Creme (2 c.)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Cook sugar, milk and butter to soft ball stage (236\u00b0), stirring frequently.
    Remove from heat and add chocolate bits, Marshmallow Creme, vanilla and nut meats.
    Pour into buttered 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Immediately score in squares and top each piece with nut half.
    Cool and cut in squares.
    Makes 3 dozen 1 1/2-inch pieces.
