Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
3 eggs
2 oz. red food coloring
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. cocoa
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream sugar and butter; add eggs and blend.
Make a paste of food coloring, vinegar and cocoa, then add to creamed mixture. Sift together remaining dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture, alternating with buttermilk.
Add vanilla and blend thoroughly.
Pour into 3 greased, floured and paper lined cake pans.
Cook at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes or until cakes are done.
Ice with special Red Velvet Icing.
