Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. salad oil
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1 large potato, diced
    1 garlic clove, minced
    2/3 c. celery, diced
    1 tsp. pepper
    3 c. chopped broccoli or thawed 10 oz. frozen
    5 c. chicken broth
    1/4 c. fresh chopped basil or 1 Tbsp. dry basil
Preparation
    In large saucepan heat salad oil.
    Add onion; saute until tender (10 minutes).
    Add potato, celery, garlic and pepper.
    Cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Stir in broccoli, broth and basil.
    Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
    Into blender put 1/2 soup; cover and blend until smooth.
    Repeat with remaining soup.
