Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 eggs, separated
2/3 c. buttermilk
1 2/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. butter
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 1/4 c. crushed bananas
2/3 c. chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar.
Add the egg yolks and 1/3 cup buttermilk.
Mix the dry ingredients together.
Add to the other mixture, part at a time, beating after each addition.
Add the other 1/3 cup buttermilk, bananas and nuts.
Add the beaten egg whites.
Bake in 3 layers or a loaf pan, 9 x 13-inch, at 325\u00b0 approximately 1 hour.
Frost with your favorite icing.
