Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    3/4 c. white sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    4 tsp. milk
    2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla well.
    Add egg.
    Beat until light and fluffy.
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture.
    Roll on floured surface to 1/8 inch thickness.
    Cut out.
    Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350\u00b0 until lightly browned.
    Cool.
    Decorate.
    Makes 2 dozen.
