Asparagus Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs, well beaten
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. 1/4-inch cubes Cheddar cheese
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. cracker crumbs
    1 c. milk
    10 oz. frozen asparagus, cooked and drained
    1 pimento, cut into pieces (nice for color, optional)
Preparation
    Add to the eggs the salt, pepper, cracker crumbs, pimento, cheese and milk.
    Stir in asparagus.
    Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart (7 x 11-inch) casserole.
    Pour butter over top.
    Bake, uncovered, in moderate oven (350\u00b0) until custard has set, about 30 minutes.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
