The Dessert Without A Name - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. butter, melted
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 c. graham cracker crumbs
    1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream (brick style)
    1 1/2 bars German sweet chocolate (do not substitute brand)
    1 1/2 sticks butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 large can evaporated milk
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 large carton Cool Whip
    finely chopped walnuts or sliced almonds
Preparation
    Mix together the first 3 ingredients and press into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Freeze.
    Slice ice cream about 1 inch thick and lay on crust.
    Freeze.
