Microwave Chocolate Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. milk
    2 sq. (2 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
    1/4 c. butter
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    In 3 quart casserole, stir together sugar, salt and milk mixing well.
    Add chocolate and butter.
    Cover.
    Microwave at High 6 minutes until hot and bubbly.
    Stir well.
    Microwave at Medium 10 to 14 minutes, uncovered.
    Stir well every 5 minutes.
    When sufficiently cooked, a few drops of mixture will form a soft ball in cup of cold water (235\u00b0 candy temperature). Let candy stand without stirring at room temperature until lukewarm.
    Add vanilla; beat with spoon or mixer until thickens and loses its gloss. Quickly stir in nuts and pour into 8 x 4 x 3-inch loaf dish which has been lined with wax paper or butter sides and bottom.
    Cut when set.
