White Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
2 c. milk
1 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
flour
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
3 egg whites
1/2 c. sugar
Preparation

Put cornstarch in 1/2 cup.
Fill rest of cup with flour.
Mix this with sugar.
Add salt and mix.
Add milk, a little at a time, until you get it mixed.
Cook until thick and add vanilla and butter.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
Add 1/2 cup sugar and beat until mixed.
Fold hot filling into egg whites.
Mix until well blended.
Put in a baked, cooled pie crust.
Put in refrigerator. Whip 1/2 pint cream with 3 tablespoons sugar.
Put on pie and sprinkle with nuts.
