Date Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. chopped dates
2 tsp. soda
1 c. boiling water
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 c. nutmeats
1 c. mayonnaise
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Stir ingredients and bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan for 35 minutes at 350\u00b0 or until tested done.
Can be served with whipped topping, ice cream, dusted with confectioners sugar or frosted.
