Ingredients

24 maraschino cherries, drained (reserve juice)
1/2 c. softened butter
3/4 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 1/2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. half and half
Preparation

Beat butter and sugar until creamy; gradually add all other ingredients.
Shape into 24 balls.
Press each ball around a cherry.
(Cover cherry completely.)
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
Transfer to wire rack.
Cool.
Dust cookies with powdered sugar and drizzle with cherry glaze.
