Ingredients

1 qt. milk
7 level Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Scald milk in a double boiler.
Sift sugar, cornstarch and cocoa together.
With a little warm water, dissolve the sugar mixture into a syrup.
Add to milk and cook until thick, remove from heat.
Stir in vanilla.
