Carob Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. instant carob
    3/4 c. flour, sifted
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs alternately with flour, carob powder and salt, sifted together.
    Add vanilla and nuts. Put in greased 8 x 12-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
