German Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head shredded cabbage
    1 onion, cut into rings
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. prepared mustard
    1 green pepper, diced
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cooking oil
    1/2 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Layer cabbage, pepper and onion.
    Cover with sugar and celery seed.
    Heat vinegar, salt and mustard to a boil.
    Take off stove and then add oil, then heat again to a boil.
    Pour over cabbage mixture.
    Toss.
    Refrigerate overnight.
    Drain before serving. Makes a large dish for a family reunion, or will keep well in refrigerator for several days.
