Skillet Cake(Upside-Down Cake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 c. pecans (optional)
    sliced pineapple
    2 eggs
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. melted shortening
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Melt
    butter
    in
    9-inch
    skillet; when melted sprinkle brown sugar
    and pecans over bottom.
    Arrange fruit on sugar. Prepare remaining ingredients. Beat eggs until light; add salt and\tsugar, beating
    constantly.
    Heat milk to boiling point; add
    butter. Beat into egg mixture. Add vanilla; add flour and baking powder. Beat
    quickly
    until blended.
    Pour batter over fruit.
    (If use self-rising
    flour,
    omit
    salt
    and
    baking powder.) Bake at 325\u00b0 for
    30
    minutes.\tTurn out while warm. Serve upside down.
